Institute of Health Sciences and Environment

The proposal to establish the "Institute of Health Sciences and Environment" was raised and approved during a meeting held on October 16, 2021. The meeting was attended by the heads, deputies, and some members of the founding board of research centers, including the Environmental and Occupational Hazards Control Research Center, Safety Promotion and Injury Prevention Research Center, Workplace Health Promotion Research Center, and Air Quality and Climate Change Research Center. The approval was announced in a letter to the university's honorable president.

In the 48th meeting of the University Council held on February 1, 2022, the establishment of the Institute of Health Sciences and Environment by the School of Public Health and Safety was approved, and the Iran's Health Ministry was notified of the decision.

After completing the required documents on October 30, 2022, it was proposed and approved by the Research and Technology Deputy of the Ministry of Health. The working group for the establishment and decision-making of medical science research structures in the country also approved it. On March 5, 2023, with the acquisition of a favorable opinion, it was finally approved in the 289th meeting of the Development Council of Medical Sciences Universities.
